Our analysis of both teams
- Score prediction - Barcelona 3-1 Real Madrid Bet on Megapari
- Goalscorers prediction - Barcelona: Raphinha, Lamine Yamal, Robert Lewandowski - Real Madrid: Gonzalo Garcia
Real Madrid edged a 2–1 victory when the two sides met in La Liga back in October. Since then, however, things have largely unraveled for Los Blancos, with Xabi Alonso facing growing pressure. Even Thursday’s narrow 2–1 derby win over Atletico Madrid in the semi-final has done little to ease the scrutiny.
Barcelona, by contrast, were far more impressive, cruising past Athletic Club with a dominant 5–0 win to book their place in the final. Hansi Flick’s side are in excellent form, having won every match since their 3–0 loss to Chelsea in November.
This will be the fourth successive Clasico Super Cup final. Barcelona have won two out of the three previous finals, including an emphatic 5-2 win in the previous edition last season.
Probable lineups for Barcelona vs Real Madrid
Barcelona expected lineup: J. Garcia, Balde, Martin, Cubarsi, Kounde, E. Garcia, Pedri, Raphinha, Olmo, Yamal, Lewandowski
Real Madrid expected lineup: Courtois, Carreras, Huijsen, Asencio, Valverde, Tchouameni, Camavinga, Vinicius, Bellingham, Rodrygo, Gonzalo
Defending Super Cup champions Barcelona will be seeking to retain their title.
Although Real Madrid was able to record a win on Thursday, their performance was somewhat disappointing. Real Madrid looked somewhat vulnerable in the air and ceded 22 attempts to Atletico Madrid, who were able to register a higher expected goals tally of 2.3 as opposed to Madrid’s 1.2.
With Mbappé unavailable and concerns over their defense, it is difficult to feel confident that Madrid will take the trophy back to the Spanish capital, having registered just one clean sheet in their last seven games, which is worrying, especially with the destructive attack that will, no doubt, be available for Barcelona.
They are in fantastic shape, having won nine in a row in all competitions. It has been since their defeat at the Bernabeu in October, when several key men have not been completely match fit, that Barca have had anything but a fantastic record of 86% wins. Fitness should not be a problem this weekend, and Barca are well on course to take maximum points.
- Barcelona vs Real Madrid Bet 1: Barcelona to win at odds of 2.00 on Megapari
Goalsa goals to flow again at El Clasico
This is one of the only major events in world football which nearly always lives up to its billing. A total of 26 goals have been registered in five Clásico matches since last season commenced, and in four of these encounters, both teams have scored.
Despite their tightened defense in the past few weeks with five consecutive clean sheets, Barcelona are still leaking chances. Only a fantastic display of goalkeeping by Joan Garcia stopped Espanyol last week. In their last match, they conceded 1.6 expected goals. Their opponents, Villarreal, also created 1.6 expected goals against Barcelona in their last encounter.
Real Madrid are already missing the presence of Eder Militao, and their two key center-back starters were both forced to be removed from the field of play yesterday. Antonio Rudiger, of course, is a major doubt, which should be great news for the other team's attacking efforts.
Supporting overturning 3.5 goals has paid out in four of the previous five matches between the two clubs. This particular bet also looks promising with a likelihood of 51.3 percent.
- Barcelona vs Real Madrid Bet 2: Over 3.5 goals at odds of 1.95 on 1xbet
Free-scoring Catalans to fire
Despite the presence of Lamine Yamal on the substitutes’ bench, Barca was still able to manage four goals in the span of 16 minutes against Athletic. Players like Marcus Rashford, Dani Olmo, and Robert Lewandowski made appearances as substitutes in the match too. It goes on to show the quality of the substitutes Flick has available to him.
Having new legs expected on the field, they need to test the weakened Real Madrid defence. Barca also has every reason to be confident as they score, on average, a goal every 24 minutes against the same opponents.
This campaign, they’ve kept up their aggressive attacking football. Since the last Clásico, they’ve scored two or more goals in 13 of their 14 fixtures. The Catalans have averaged 2.86 goals per 90 minutes of football.
With all this in mind, it appears that wagering on the favorites to score over 2.5 goals has a positive expectation with an implied probability of 35.7%.
- Barcelona vs Real Madrid Bet 3: Barcelona to score over 2.5 goals at odds of 2.80 on Megapari
